The holidays are rich with tradition. New Year’s Eve rolls in each year with silly hats, lots of drinks, a weird song no one really knows the meaning of and often a headache by morning.
While that’s all fine and good, I’m inviting you to take back your New Year’s Eve celebration this year. Find a time, instead of a party, to really mark the passage of this year.
Maybe take a walk with the intention of reviewing your year and looking forward to a fresh perspective or spend some time in meditation or with a revitalizing yoga practice.
Other ideas: Spend the day or part of the day in silence, create community with friends and family by discussing the past year’s successes and intentions for the future, do some special journaling, or write a letter to yourself for next year.
Personally speaking, 2021 was not the best year and I am determined to make 2022 better and kick-ass for me. How will I do this? By starting off the year in a different fashion than I have before….by doing the steps I mentioned above; quietly reflecting on the past and visioning everything I want to step into for 2022.
Leaving all of 2021 behind me to make room for a huge 2022!
May you be blessed with peace, harmony, and a clear vision to step into the coming year!!!
